It started with someone asking what people think of the building of this so-called "Mosque".. Most people are fed BS by the first media they see. But, the real facts are never there.

Back to this person asking what people thought, they received a comment from someone named Teddy (no last name to protect this person's privacy".

The comment was as quoted: Teddy: "They have NO right, and they're incredibly arrogant and insensitive to even consider it"

Teddy, will be used as an example of people who think they have "no right". When in reality, this Mosque has little to do with Ground Zero.

My replied comment to the post:

Mike Moritz ‎@ Teddy: You just stated "They have NO right". Ill start with that.

First: Without trying to be offensive Teddy.. You are retarded. I understand how it may seem insensitive. But to say they have no right is not only legally untrue, but is an opinion fed through the media to terrorist hating Americans who associate terrorism to the minority religion that is the base of the "Mosque".

To quote the president:

"I've got Muslims who are fighting in Afghanistan, in the uniform of the United States armed services. They're out there putting their lives on the line for us, and we've got to make sure that we are crystal clear for our sakes and their sakes: They are Americans. And we honor their service. And part of honoring their service is making sure that they understand that we don't differentiate between 'them' and 'us.' It's just 'us'." -Obama

"We have to make sure that we don't start turning on each other. ... We are one nation, under God. And we may call that God different names, but we remain one nation." -Obama

" we were not at war with Islam. We were at war with terrorists and murderers who had perverted Islam, had stolen its banner to carry out their outrageous acts." -Obama

Second, It's barely even a "Mosque". A Mosque by definition is a religious structure. This proposed "Mosque" is a public community center. A community center with a basketball court, etc. along with a set aside place for prayer.

For instance, would you call St. Mary’s Hospital a church because it has a chapel inside it? No, it's still a hospital. If you call it a church, once again you are a retard.

Third: Most people should know this already, but if you don't here's a fact. As for location, it's not even on Ground Zero. It's actually a few blocks away. If it would happen to be a few miles away, this issue would most likely have never came up.The location is an old Burlington Coat Factory.

"The Burlington Coat factory is private property. Those who want to build on it are private citizens. They are violating no law in wanting to build a community center. Under what authority do you propose we stop them? There is no “unless you’re a Muslim within X yards of a national tragedy exception” to the free exercise of religion." -Gladstone

" if we ask our leaders to start dishonoring the freedoms that make this country great, the terrorists surely will have won."-Gladstone

I Mike Moritz, am an American. I believe in God. My own Christian God, along with the majority of most Americans. But I also believe in the rights of those religions of American minority groups. Whether it be Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. because your religion doesn't necessarily make you a terrorist. But, your actions do. In this case it was the actions of one of those minority groups, but that doesn't make everyone of that religion a bad person.

I'm not unlike most people who are against it. If it were to be proposed to be ON the Ground Zero site, I would be against it. But the fact is that it's NOT so I have no problem with it. I have my opinion, and you have yours. But those who are against it should sit down and think for them selves and look at facts, and not be brainwashed by the media and idiots like Teddy.
